Our Beer
We are a Modernist Bavarian beer. We believe the basic principles of modernism reside in purity, rationality, simplicity and the honest expression of the nature of materials and their quality. This is why our beers are made the old-fashioned way – produced according to the German Purity Law – with only malt, hops, yeast and water. We love, live by, and follow this philosophy. Solid fundamentals. No gimmicks. No bullshit.
When we started our journey the goal was to show that beers made the traditional way can be awesome too. We started to work together with different brew masters from small, regional Bavarian, family-run breweries, one of them being almost 500 years old. We wanted to create crafted lagers and ales with a sense of provenance and a respect for traditions, that our customers would love drinking.
We respect the time beer needs to be produced, developing little by little inside the tanks. You just can’t rush craftsmanship, and that's why our traditional brewing processes can take up to 8 weeks. We obsess over flavour and aroma, and therefore we fight the quantities of mega production and economies of scale.
‘Analog beer for a digital world’ is what we like to call it.
Our core can range has six beer styles for a full week of flavour! Three are time-honoured Bavarian styles, two are traditional American styles, and we have one alcohol-free beer for responsible drinking. All of our beers are unfiltered, which allows for a fuller, richer taste and aroma profile. They are all produced using just malt, hops, yeast and water, to allow all the ingredients to shine and speak for themselves in their own way. YUM.
